ditaykanBaby, I am almost home!
Right now, I'm in a La Quinta just outside of Oklahoma City, by my guestimation around eight-ten hours outside of CO Springs (aka Home Base). Which means that I'm not officially back until tomorrow, whenever we get in. Might also be too tired to post anything, or if I do, it might be 'back, but tired. Tak sleep now' or something along those lines.
I am also REALLY tired of my cousins calling everyone 'faggot' and 'spic', bragging about their 'graffiti' and fucking my grandmother's house up because they're inconsiderate morons who use ad hominem attacks to invalidate an argument and derail trains of thought... not to mention taking my complete lack of interest in popular culture to mean that I'm an idiot.
Case in point: apparently, because I consider George R.R. Martin, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Pratchett, and Tolkien (among others) to be better than JK Rowling at writing books, I'm an idiot. For two reasons.
First: JK Rowling is worth more than the Queen of England.
Second: JK Rowling is popular. Apparently, if the authors I used as examples were any good at all, they would be equally as popular. Before anybody (yeah right, who reads this) asks, yes-- I did state that they don't really write for a younger crowd, while the Harry Potter series is designed for children and young adults. This was largely ignored.
...gah. This was supposed to be a simple 'I'm almost back!' thing.
